Background

Richard Start began his accounting career initially working in a small firm in Ballarat. In December 1999, he attained his CPA status and in July 2000 Richard established his own practice - 'Richard Start Accountants'.

His practice grew and with his loyal clients, it was time to move on as he had outgrown using one room within another practice to move into his own premises with a receptionist in August 2003. His own and new office was located at 32 Doveton Street North, Ballarat and boasted comfortable surroundings for both clients and the team.

With his business growing, 10 staff, Richard Start Accountants made the move to a larger building in February 2011 at 9 Creswick Road, Ballarat.

Richard Start Accountants contributes his growth to recognising the absence of accounting services committed to assisting small businesses. He has developed a niche market to support them with financial services and tax compliance in Ballarat. This is achieved through inspiration and encouragement by our team to help small business owners realise their full potential.
